Load balancing with the Charge Lite means you will be able to balance the electrical use between up to three Charge Lite chargers and the building.
For load balancing Charge Lite chargers, you must have the following:
- An RCD Type A is connected to each backplate in the Easee Lite setup.
- All chargers are configured on the same circuit via the Installer app.
- An Equalizer can be optionally connected to dynamically balance the load against the main fuse, ensuring optimized power usage and preventing overloads while charging.
- The Easee Charge Lite can load balance with other home models, such as Easee Home and Easee Charge Up, dynamically distributing the available power among devices.
You can not have more than three chargers per site.
Installing multiple chargers on one site
Setting up an enclosure closer to the chargers will save on cabling.
The RCDs can be installed in the fuse cabinet if there is room.
In each method of installation, there is an RCD A between each Charge Lite and the fusebox. These cannot be wired in a "daisy chain", where you wire pass-through to the next RCD A and Easee Lite. It must be a direct connection from the fusebox to the RCD A, and a direct connection from the RCD A to the Easee Lite.
Load balancing Charge Lites
Once the Charge Lites are properly installed, install the Equalizer and connect each Charge Lite to it.
