How the Chargers in the Easee Series Communicate with Each Other
We offer different chargers for various needs, and it is important to understand how these chargers can communicate with each other to optimise the charging experience. Here is an overview of the communication possibilities between the different models in the Easee series.
Easee Charge Lite and Easee Home
Easee Charge Lite and Easee Home are home chargers (SDU - Single Dwelling Unit) designed for private use. These chargers can be set up in a master-slave configuration, where one charger acts as the main unit (master) and the others as subordinate units (slaves). This allows multiple chargers to share the same power source and effectively balance the load between them. SDU chargers can load balance up to 3 units.
Important to note:
- Can communicate together in a master-slave configuration.
- Cannot communicate with Easee Charge or Easee Charge Core.
Easee Charge and Easee Charge Core
Easee Charge and Easee Charge Core are designed for commercial and larger installations (MDU - Multi Dwelling Unit). These chargers are built to handle higher loads and multiple users, making them ideal for businesses, housing cooperatives, and public charging facilities. They can also be set up in a master-slave configuration to optimise charging. MDU chargers can load balance up to 101 units.
Important to note:
- Can communicate together in a master-slave configuration.
- Cannot communicate with Easee Charge Lite or Easee Home.
By understanding these communication limitations, you can ensure that you choose the right type of charger for your needs, whether it is for home use or for a larger, commercial installation. This contributes to a more efficient and hassle-free charging experience.
