Replace Chargeberry

Detach Front Cover

  1. Before any disassembly, ensure the power supply to the charger is turned off.
  2. Bend down the lower part of the rubber cover.
  3. Remove the screw securing the front cover.

    In some cases, the installer may not have mounted the screw, resulting in an empty screw hole. The screw is a T25 Torx.

  4. Place the two ends of the tool into the openings at the bottom of the front cover.

  5. Pull the tool gently but firmly until the front cover begins to come loose.

  6. Once the cover is detached, lift it off completely.

    Exceptional Information Circle Info Icon If you cannot find the tool, you can also remove the cover by hand. Place both hands on the bottom edge of the front cover. Apply firm pressure with your palms, ensuring a steady grip on both sides. Once the cover is detached, remove it completely.

  7. Grasp the Type 2 socket firmly.
  8. Push upwards with good force until the Chargeberry disconnects.

Reattach the Chargeberry

  1. Align the new Chargeberry with the backplate, ensuring the connectors are properly positioned.
  2. Press the Chargeberry firmly down onto the backplate until you hear a click, indicating it is securely in place.

Attach the Front Cover

  1. Position the front cover back onto the charger, ensuring it sits flush and is properly aligned.
  2. Gently press along the edges of the front cover to make sure it’s fully attached.
  3. Replace the screw removed earlier and tighten it to secure the cover.

Power On

Restore power to the charger by switching the fuse on. Check that the charger powers on correctly. The charger should show two white LEDs at the bottom of the strip if it’s the master charger, or one white LED if it is a secondary charger.
