If you haven't installed your Easee Equalizer yet, go to Equalizer installation basics.
The Equalizer is a device that lets your Easee charger know how much power is available. If you need all your power somewhere else in the house, it will let the charger know exactly how much it can use to charge your car.
This is what the Easee Equalizer card looks like in your Easee App. Notice the information icon in the card's top right corner. The icon will be shown throughout the app to give you additional information about the current setting. If you press on the information icon on the Equalizer card, it will show you About, Status types and LED lights. The LED lights can be used for troubleshooting.
On the image of the Equalizer, you can see your consumption as a percentage of the fuse capability. This is also indicated by the blue ring.
Press the image of the Equalizer to see how much each phase currently uses.
You can also see the power you are currently using and what is available.
Inside the Equalizer settings, you can find an About section with information about your unit. In Equalizer settings you can also change the name of your Equalizer, the WiFi settings, the main fuse limit and send simple commands like restart and remove Equalizer.
Under Main fuse limit you can set a limit for charging. The charger will not operate unless the building power consumption is below this limit. This is particularly useful if your energy provider changes rates based on the time of day.
When the consumption drops below the Main fuse limit, the Equalizer will wait 10 minutes before allowing the charger to increase charging power. This is to make sure the power is actually available.
