What is Reserved Current?

Reserved Current

When the Reserved Current feature is enabled on one or more chargers, the selected unit will always have at least 6A available whenever a vehicle is connected – even after the charging session has been completed.
This feature can be used if you want to ensure that the vehicle always has access to power.

Important: If multiple units are charging at the same time, they will not be able to utilize the full maximum available power, as 6A will always be reserved for the connected vehicle – regardless of whether the charging session is finished or not.

When should this feature be used?

Reserved Current can be useful if you want the vehicle to always have a minimum amount of power available, for example for vehicle models that require this to initiate pre-heating or similar functions.
Since the behavior can vary between different vehicles and onboard chargers, not all models will require this setting. In most cases, pre-heating and similar functions will work without enabling Reserved Current.
