Can my car charge on 3-phase?

It depends on what car and electrical system you have. We recommend contacting your car dealer for full information regarding your specific car and an electrician to find out what electrical system you have.

If you have TN-system (400 V), many EVs will be able to charge with 3-phase.
If you have IT-system (230 V) it may be limited by what car model you have.

Limitations on IT-system

There are not many cars that support conventional 3-phase charging on IT-systems. For this reason, the charger is set to not allow 3-phase charging under 11 A when wired to an IT-system.

That means if your fuse is 10 A, or your Equalizer is limiting the available power to the charger, the charger will only offer 1-phase charging. Not all cars can be charged with 3-phase on an IT system, so please check with your car dealer before changing phase mode.

If your car is limited to 1-phase charging on IT, you can lock the charger for 1-phase in the phase mode settings. If nothing is specified, we recommend setting Phase mode to Automatic inside the Easee App. On Automatic, most cars will be able to communicate with the charger regarding phases.
