The locking options are for when the charging cable is disconnected from the car. The charging cable will always be locked when it's connected to the car. Locking the cable is an extra safety measure against anyone stealing the charging cable when it is connected to the charger.

Chargers in France are required to have the charging cable permanently locked to the charger. Therefore, options to unlock the charger may not be available in France.

There are two cable lock options:

• Locked — Unlocked while disconnected from the car. Locked while connected to the car. 
• Always locked — Cable is always locked to the charging robot.

Switching the Cable locking states is done in the Easee app or Easee Portal.

Cable settings is found in the charger card.

Press the Cable icon to switch between Locked and Always Locked states.

Cable settings is found under the charger's main information. The Enable Locking / Disable Locking selection is found in the lower left corner of the charger card.
