π± Effortless style β default from 16 June 2026
This article describes the Easee app in the Effortless style, which is the default for all new users from 16 June 2026. If you are still using the Classic style, see Easee App β Classic Style Navigation. You can switch between styles at any time under Preferences in the app.
In the Effortless style, charger settings are accessed by tapping the cog wheel icon (βοΈ) in the top right corner of the product card in the Easee app.
Due to local regulations, you may not be able to lock/unlock the charging cable from your device. See Shuttered Cables and Locking in the App for more information.
When you tap the cog wheel, you see the Settings card.
It is divided into three main sections.
In the General section are operational settings.
In the Bluetooth section are the Bluetooth settings.
In the Appearance section are settings mostly about appearance in the app, but also includes the brightness of the LED strip.
General section

Charging Robot β Activate or Deactivate your charger. When deactivated, the charger will not charge. This is a great feature for times when you are leaving your home for a long time, or if you want to temporarily disable your charger. If your charger is disabled, the LED of your charger will be completely switched off.
When you press to deactivate the charger, you will get a pop-up to confirm your choice. Press Yes to confirm.Deactivating your charger is not the same as turning off power.
- About β Displays the serial number of the charger. Press to open the About card which shows more technical information about the unit.

WiFi β The WiFi network your charger is connected to. Press to change the WiFi the charger is connected to, or to disconnect from WiFi completely.
When the charger is connected to WiFi, the charger will get firmware updates more quickly, and the response time will be faster.
- Phase mode β Displays the current phase, either 1-phase or 3-phase. If your site has three phases and your car supports three-phase charging, you can press Phase mode to change to 1-Phase, Automatic, or 3-Phase charging.
- Max charger current β Displays and allows you to set the maximum current for this charger.
- Lock cable β Lock or unlock the charging cable when connected.
- Access control β Set who can use this charger (open, Easee users, or approved users only).
Bluetooth section
- Bluetooth β Enable or disable Bluetooth on the charger. Bluetooth is used for initial setup and local configuration.
Appearance section
- Charger name β The name displayed for this charger in the app. Press to rename.
- LED brightness β Adjust the brightness of the charger's LED strip.
- LED color β Choose a color for the LED strip when the charger is idle.
Note: Some settings may not be available depending on your site configuration and operator.
