Users and User Roles

  • Updated

User roles define the access to a site after installation. Access to the chargers may depend on the site's Access Control settings.

Each site can have only one Site Owner. The other roles can have multiple people..

Roles

Site Owner

As the owner of a charging site you have the highest level of access possible for a user. You can manage other administrators, users, and the site and objects on the site.

If you want to give access to the charger only, without giving the permission to access the site information, it is possible to set a specific access level as a site owner. The User role, for example, is often used for commercial installation with multiple chargers shared among flat owners/tenants in a condominium. It allows every user to have access to their own products, without having access to the other users' chargers installed on the same site. For more information, see Setting up access control as a Site Owner.

To become the owner of a site you have to be invited by the installer, or create the site in Easee Control.

Site Administrator

As an administrator on a site you have access to most settings on a management level. The administrator role is given by the site owner.

Site User

Those listed as users on a site have approved access to the site, and possibly to a limited number of chargers on the site. Users are not able to change settings regarding the site or any chargers. Users are also able to view chargers from within the Easee Control or app.

When the user is invited to a site, they will receive an SMS message.
