If an Easee Key is added to your account, the key becomes an identifier for you across the Easee ecosystem. This means that the key can be used on multiple charging sites you have access to. The charging site owners will only be able to see your consumption on the site they are managing. This way you can use the same Easee Key for home, work, gym, etc.
The charging site owners can add you as a user inside the Easee Portal (www.easee.cloud) by phone number. You can then set up your own Easee Key. Some site owners prefer to give out physical RFID keys instead of adding all the users to the Easee Portal.
You can use other RFID/NFC tags as Easee Keys. Some debit cards can be used if they support the NFC protocol (note that this does not make the card a payment method, it only uses it as an identifier to your account). Be sure that the NFC doesn't change its id number (like some phones do). Supported protocol is NFC / ISO 14443 and MIFARE Classic® 13.56Mhz.
