Fallback current

When you have an Equalizer connected to your site, the Equalizer will loadbalance between the charger and building. If for some reason the Equalizer can't communicate with the charger, it will lose the ability to loadbalance. You can set the maximum current allowed when this happens in the Charging current settings. The charger will use Fallback current until communication with the Equalizer is back again.

Exceptional_Information_Hand_Icon.svgFallback current should only be used when an Equalizer is present in the site structure. This will limit the everyday charging capacity if you don't have an Equalizer.

If you are the site owner, you can adjust the max Fallback current for the site through the Easee app.

  1. From the Easee app, select the Master charger that you wish to adjust the Fallback current on.
  2. Swipe down or press the arrow in the top right corner.
  3. Press Site Settings.
  4. Under Power press Charging Current.
  5. Press Edit in the top right corner.
  6. Scroll through the values to the max Fallback current and click Save in the top right corner.
