Your Easee charger has three different security levels. These levels are to let you control who can use your charger, and how simple you want your charging process to be.
Here you see the main card for the charger, and each screenshot has the Access (underneath the Charger image on the right) set to something different.
The settings for controlling access are:
- Open
- Private
- Public
The Open setting means anyone can charge using the charger. They do not need an Easee key, or an Easee account.
The Private setting means only those people with an Easee key linked to your charger, or with the Easee app linked to your charger, may charge.
The Public (Easee account) setting means that anyone with an Easee account may charge. This setting is best for frequent visitors who also have their own Easee charger. They can charge on your charger using this setting without worrying about keeping track of extra Easee keys.
Note that the last two security levels both display as Key only on the Charger screen, but have different icons.
Setting the security level
To change from the Access card:
- On the charger screen, press Access.
The Access card comes up.
- Press the access level you want.
A confirmation will display at the bottom of the screen.
Your security level is active.
Removing all access
You can also completely turn off all access.
Press the switch on the Access card to turn off all access to the charger.
You will get a verification that you want to turn off all access.
The card will show the access is off, with the on/off switch now red.
