What happens when I transfer the ownership to the customer?

  • Updated

To complete the site commissioning, we recommend you transfer the property to the charger's owner.

To keep access to the site settings, you shoulw be part of an installer company. See Creating an Installer Company for more information.

Exceptional Information Warning Under GDPR, at the end of the you are automatically removed as the site owner at the end of the process. The customer can decide to grant you admin access. Otherwise, you will only be listed as the site installer.

These are the steps your customer will follow to accept the ownership of the site:

  1. The customer will receive an email asking them to log in, if they already have an account, or to sign up for an account.
You can also request a link in the app, or a QR code. Either of which can be copied and sent to the customer (for example, via SMS) to click and use.
  2. The customer must accept the ownership transfer from the e-mail (or link, or QR code).
  3. The product will automatically be added to their Easee app.

If the customer needs help getting the charger in their app, refer them to How to add a product you have access to in the Easee App.
