02Resolve a light issue

Only light patterns that require an action or further explanation appear below.

Flashing white

Authentication required

The charger is waiting for approval before charging can start.

Authenticate using an approved Easee Key or the access method configured for the site.

Charging starts

The light stops flashing when authentication is accepted and the vehicle is ready to charge.

Key not accepted and the light flashes red?

Continue to rejected authentication
Flashing red after using a key or the app

Authentication was not accepted

The charger did not accept the Easee Key, RFID tag or app authorisation used to start charging.

Check that the key is registered and has access to charge at this site. If another approved key is available, try it once.

Another key works

The issue is related to the original key or its access.

No approved key is accepted

Continue to the relevant Easee Keys or access guidance.

Solid red

Charger error requiring attention

Disconnect the charging cable if it can be removed normally.

Check the Easee App for a warning or error and follow the relevant guidance. Do not force a locked cable.

Important

Do not repeatedly reset a breaker or RCD that trips again. If it trips again, leave it off and contact an authorised electrician.

The charger remains solid red

First LED flashes white

Connection to the primary charger lost

This pattern normally appears on a charging site with multiple chargers. The charger is searching for the primary charger (Master) on its charging circuit.

Check whether the primary charger is powered and available.

First LED flashes yellow

Setup not completed

The charger has not completed its installation or configuration.

No light

No visible charger light

No light is an observation, not yet a diagnosis. Use the state shown in the Easee App to choose the next step.

Pattern not listed

The light pattern is unclear or not shown above

Check whether the Easee App shows a warning, error or temporary charger status.

If possible, record a short video showing the complete light strip. The movement and sequence of the LEDs can help identify the state.

Continue to the support section and include the video when contacting Easee.
