Is the Equalizer limiting charging?
Check the active limit, understand what it means and choose the right next step.
If your car does not charge, charging is slower than expected or a session pauses, first check whether the Equalizer is actually limiting the available current. The Easee App shows which limit is active. If it shows Equalizer limit, use the checks below to find out why. If it shows another limit, follow that cause instead.
01Check whether the Equalizer is limiting charging
Use the active limit in the charger product card instead of assuming that the Equalizer caused the problem.
Open the charger in the Easee App
Select the lightning/current button beside the displayed current.
Open Available energy
The highlighted row shows which limit is controlling the current available to the charging session.

Use the result below before changing any settings.

02Find out why the Equalizer limit is active
The Equalizer protects the main fuse by reducing charging when the building leaves too little current available.
Compare usage and the phase values
Open the Equalizer product card and check Usage vs Available. Then select the Equalizer image to view the current use on L1, L2 and L3.
Building consumption is high
Heating, a water heater, an oven or another high-power appliance may leave too little current for the car. Charging normally increases again when this consumption falls.
One phase has less capacity
Three-phase charging uses the same current on all three phases. The phase with the least remaining capacity therefore limits the complete session, even when total consumption does not appear high.
Capacity has only just returned
After consumption drops below the configured main-fuse limit, the Equalizer waits 10 minutes before allowing charging to increase. The capacity must remain stable during this period.
03Check the configured main-fuse limit
If the live values do not explain the active limit, compare the configured threshold with the electrical installation.
Compare the setting in the Easee App
Open the Equalizer product card and check Main fuse limit. A deliberately lower value leaves less capacity available for charging and can make the Equalizer limit appear more often. It may have been lowered to keep total power use below a chosen threshold, reduce peak demand or limit the capacity available to the charging installation.
Do not increase the value without verification
An authorised installer must confirm that the setting is safe for the electrical installation before it is increased.
04Use the result of the checks
The result tells you whether the behaviour is expected, needs an installer or should be investigated by Easee Support.
The Equalizer limit clears after consumption falls
The Equalizer is balancing charging as expected. Allow up to 10 minutes after capacity returns.
One phase remains much lower or the fuse setting is uncertain
Ask an authorised installer to verify the phase distribution, electrical installation and configured main-fuse value.
