Find the charging data you need in the Easee App or Easee Control. Choose an option below to view consumption, download a report or investigate a missing session or unexpected value.

01Why reports can show different totals

Session reports assign a complete charging session to the date it ends. Energy Summary shows energy recorded during the selected period. That is why the totals can differ even when the dates match.

Session reports

Completed charging sessions

Assigns the complete session to the period in which it ends. Depending on the report, consumption can be identified by user, charger or Easee Key.

Energy Summary

Energy recorded over time

Includes site energy recorded within the selected period, including the recorded portion of an ongoing session. For user or Easee Key attribution, use the relevant session report.

Example: a charging session across two months

  • Report period: 15–31 October.
  • Charging session: starts at 23:00 on 31 October and ends at 07:00 on 1 November.
  • Session reports: the completed session is counted on 1 November, so it is excluded from the selected period.
  • Energy Summary: includes the energy recorded before the selected period ends, even though the charging session is still ongoing.

02Check missing or incorrect charging data

Start with the issue you see. The checks show which data to compare and what each result means.

Find a session or investigate missing data

Start with check 01. If the session is still missing, continue to the next check. Stop when you find the explanation.

01Are the report filters correct?Check the site, date range and selected filters.

Check the selection

In Easee Control, select the site and date range. Check the charger, user and Easee Key filters for the report.

If the session appears

The previous selection excluded it. You can view or export the report. Still missing? Check whether the session has ended.

Check the session status
02Has the session ended?A completed-session report needs a completed session.

Check the cable

Is it still connected to the vehicle? The session ends when the cable is disconnected, even if energy transfer stopped earlier.

If the session is ongoing

Recorded energy can already appear in Energy Summary. The completed-session report includes the session once it ends. After disconnecting the cable, check that report again. If the session is still absent, compare the reports in check 03.

Compare the reports
03Can you find the energy in another report?Compare Energy Summary with charger, user and Easee Key reports.

Compare the reports

Check Energy Summary for site energy in the period. Then look for the session in the charger or session report and compare the user or Easee Key report.

Where the data appears

Energy Summary can show recorded site energy even when session data is missing. Its total alone cannot identify the specific session, user or key. If the session appears in the charger or session report but not under the user or Easee Key, note the affected row and use the Support checklist to investigate attribution. If it is absent from the relevant session reports, check the cloud connection in 04.

04Was the charger offline?Check its Easee cloud connection and the reporting dates.

Check the cloud connection

Was the charger connected to the Easee cloud during the session? Check whether it has reconnected, and note both the original charging period and the reconnection date.

After reconnection

The charger measures and stores consumption while offline, then uploads the stored data when it reconnects. That consumption may appear on the reconnection date. Restore the connection if needed and check both dates. If the data remains missing, use the Support checklist.

Understand differences in consumption or cost

Choose the comparison that matches your figures. Each check leads to a specific next action.

01Are the selections the same?Compare site, date range and filters first.

Match the selections

Check that both values cover the same site, charger, user or Easee Key, with matching filters and start and end dates.

Compare again

Different selections can explain different totals. Align them first. If the figures still differ, open the check that matches the difference: report totals, cost or an external meter.

02Do report totals differ?Check time rules, rounding and available history.

Compare report types and dates

Identify the two reports and check whether the period falls within Energy Summary’s 13-month retention.

Why totals can differ

Summary reports round each session’s energy before adding the totals, which can create small differences. Session reports count the complete session when it ends; Energy Summary uses site energy recorded during the period. Older Energy Summary data is unavailable beyond 13 months. Compare a period covered by both reports. If the difference remains unexplained, use the Support checklist.

03Only the cost differs?Check the price applied to the affected sessions.

Compare energy and price

If the energy values match, check the charging price used for the affected sessions.

Earlier costs stay as recorded

Changing the charging price does not recalculate previous sessions. Review the price applied at the time. If it does not explain the cost difference, send both figures to Support.

04Comparing an external meter?Compare what each measurement includes.

Match the measurement

Compare the same charger or chargers and dates. Check whether the external meter also measures other electrical loads.

Why readings can differ

Easee reports show energy delivered to the vehicle. An external meter may also include other loads and the charger’s own consumption. Easee’s report guidance cites ±2% measurement accuracy and 2–5 W of charger consumption, while model specifications can differ. Check your charger’s specifications before assessing a small difference. If it remains unexplained, give Support both readings and where they were measured.
