02Connect using the Easee App

Charger offline? Connect through Bluetooth to update its Wi-Fi settings.

How to connect with Bluetooth
  1. Stand near the charger, enable Bluetooth on your phone and allow the Easee App to use it.
  2. Hold the charger's touch button for at least five seconds. The charger emits a tone.
  3. In the Easee App, select the charger, open Settings and choose Connect via Bluetooth.
  4. Confirm the pairing request. An automatic-connection prompt may also appear; choose your preference and tap Done. Check that Bluetooth appears on the charger screen.

The light may turn blue. It may remain white when Bluetooth is already active. Holding the touch button disconnects other devices using the charger's Bluetooth connection.

04Wi-Fi connection not working?

My Wi-Fi network isn't listed
  • Check that the network uses 2.4 GHz and its signal reaches the charger.
  • Select Add manually, enter the full network name and password, then save and check the connection again.
  • On a mesh network, temporarily switch off the additional mesh points and connect directly to the router. Switch the points back on afterwards.
The charger won't connect to my network
  • Recheck the network name and password, including capital letters.
  • Confirm that the router has internet access.
  • Compare the router settings with the Wi-Fi network requirements below.

A successful connection from another device does not confirm compatibility with the charger.

The Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping

Check the coverage at the charger and compare the signal strength with the required level below. Improve the coverage, then save the network details and check the connection again.

The charger or Wi-Fi settings are missing

Site Owners and Site Administrators can change Wi-Fi settings in the Easee App. At a managed site, ask the organisation responsible for the installation to update the network. For a charger missing from your app, use the access guide.
