At the same time, there are several features in the Easee app for those who want more control over the charger.

Below you will find two common setups that many Easee users choose.

Simple Setup

This is the simplest setup and normally requires no extra configuration.

This is required:

• The charger is installed and set up by an electrician

• The charging cable is connected to the Easee charger and car

• The car is ready to receive charging
   

In this setup, charging will usually start automatically when the car is connected. If everything works as expected, you do not need to use the Easee app to start charging.

This setup is especially suitable if:

• the charger is located in a closed garage

• the charger is on private property

• there is no need to restrict who can use the charger

The advantage of this setup is that it is simple and requires minimal administration.

More Advanced Setup

Some users want more control over the charger and who can use it. Then you can use several features in the Easee app.

This is required:

• Access to the charger in the Easee app

• The charger is registered to your user
   

When you have access to the charger in the app, you can among other things:

• give access to multiple users

• activate access control

• start and stop charging via the app

• use an RFID tag to start charging

• see charging status and charging history

• schedule charging
   

This setup can be useful if:

• multiple people use the same charger

• the charger is in a place where you want to restrict access

• you want more control over the use of the charger
