Understand your charger light strip
Find the light pattern shown on your Easee charger, understand what it means and see what to do if it needs your attention.
The light strip shows the current state of your charger. Find the pattern you see below to understand what it means.

Find the light pattern you see on your charger. Select a row marked with an arrow if it needs your attention.

02Resolve a light issue
Only light patterns that require an action or further explanation appear below.
Flashing white
Authentication required
The charger is waiting for approval before charging can start.
Authenticate using an approved Easee Key or the access method configured for the site.
Charging starts
The light stops flashing when authentication is accepted and the vehicle is ready to charge.
Key not accepted and the light flashes red?

Authentication was not accepted
The charger did not accept the Easee Key, RFID tag or app authorisation used to start charging.
Check that the key is registered and has access to charge at this site. If another approved key is available, try it once.
Another key works
The issue is related to the original key or its access.
No approved key is accepted
Continue to the relevant Easee Keys or access guidance.

Charging or safety error
The charger has detected a condition that is preventing normal charging.
Open the charger in the Easee App and check for a warning or error. Follow the guidance shown there before trying to charge again.
High-temperature warning shown?
Open high-temperature guidanceNo warning is shown or the light continues flashing red?

Solid red
Charger error requiring attention
Disconnect the charging cable if it can be removed normally.
Check the Easee App for a warning or error and follow the relevant guidance. Do not force a locked cable.
Important
Do not repeatedly reset a breaker or RCD that trips again. If it trips again, leave it off and contact an authorised electrician.
The charger remains solid red
Continue to the support section at the end of this article.
First LED flashes white
Connection to the primary charger lost
This pattern normally appears on a charging site with multiple chargers. The charger is searching for the primary charger (Master) on its charging circuit.
Check whether the primary charger is powered and available.
First LED flashes yellow
Setup not completed
The charger has not completed its installation or configuration.
No light
No visible charger light
No light is an observation, not yet a diagnosis. Use the state shown in the Easee App to choose the next step.
Pattern not listed
The light pattern is unclear or not shown above
Check whether the Easee App shows a warning, error or temporary charger status.
If possible, record a short video showing the complete light strip. The movement and sequence of the LEDs can help identify the state.
