You do not need to know who owns the Easee site. Choose the situation that matches what happened, then follow that path to the confirmation or the correct person to contact.

01Choose your access path

New installations, private invitations, ownership transfers and shared sites are handled by different people.

The charger was recently installed for youThe installer completes the handover.

Before you start: Use the Easee account created with the exact email address given to the installer.

01

Use the correct Easee account

Sign in with that email address. If you do not have an account yet, create one and confirm the email address before continuing.

Create an Easee account
02

Accept the complete handover

Check your inbox and spam folder. The installer may send separate invitations for the site and charger. Accept every invitation that belongs to this installation.

Open the invitation guide
03

Check the Home screen

Open the Easee App and check whether the site and charger are now available.

Access is ready when

The site and charger appear on the Home screen in the Easee App.

If the installation still does not appear

Confirm the email address with the installer and ask them to complete the handover. If the installer is no longer available, Easee Support may require proof that you own or are authorised to manage the private installation.

Someone else already manages the private chargerThe Site Owner or Administrator grants user access.

Access and ownership are different: You can be allowed to use a charger without becoming the Site Owner.

01

Contact the person who manages the charger

Ask the Site Owner or Administrator to check whether the charger is open to everyone, available to Easee accounts or limited to approved users.

02

Ask them to add your account when approval is required

They must add the Easee account you intend to use. If you also need the charger to appear in the Easee App, ask them to add you to the correct site or charger.

Compare access and user roles
03

Complete the invitation and test access

Accept any invitation you receive, sign in with the same Easee account and follow the charging method set for the charger.

Access is ready when

You can authenticate or start charging as configured. The charger appears in the Easee App when your account has been added to that charger or its site.

If access still does not work

Return to the Site Owner or Administrator first. Ask them to verify the access level, linked status and account they approved. If a third-party operator manages the site, continue with that operator. If Easee is the site operator and the configuration is correct, contact Easee Support with the charger serial number, the account used, the time of the attempt and any error shown.

You moved into a private home with an Easee chargerThe previous owner transfers the site.

Use the transfer path first: The PIN is a fallback only when a transfer is not possible and you are authorised to take ownership of the private installation.

01

Ask the previous owner to transfer the site

The previous owner can transfer ownership to your Easee account from the Easee App or Easee Control.

Open the ownership transfer guide
02

Accept the ownership transfer

Sign in or create an Easee account, then accept the transfer with the account that should become the new Site Owner.

03

Check the Home screen

Open the Easee App and check whether the transferred site and charger are now available.

Ownership is transferred when

The site and charger appear on the Home screen under your Easee account.

If the previous owner cannot transfer the site

If you are authorised to own this private installation, select Add product in the Easee App and enter the charger serial number and PIN. Check the PIN card or installation documents first, then ask the installer. Do not remove electrical covers yourself. Easee Support can provide a missing PIN only after proof of ownership has been verified.

The charger is part of a shared installationThe site manager or charging operator controls access.

Do not use the private ownership or PIN process: Access is normally managed by the Site Owner, Administrator, housing association or charging operator.

01

Contact the organisation that manages charging

Ask how users are approved at this installation and which app, account or key you should use.

02

Follow the site-specific process

You may receive an Easee invitation, be asked to add an Easee Key or need to use a separate operator app.

Check access at shared installations
03

Confirm the access method

If you received an invitation, accept it with the correct Easee account. If access uses a key or operator app, complete the setup there and test charging as instructed.

Access is ready when

You can authenticate or start charging using the method assigned by the responsible organisation. A charger managed by another operator may not appear in the Easee App.

If access is still missing

Return to the organisation or operator that manages the installation. Easee cannot grant or override access when a third party controls the site.
