π± Effortless style β default from 16 June 2026
This article describes the Easee app in the Effortless style, which is the default for all new users from 16 June 2026. If you are still using the Classic style, see Easee App β Classic Style Navigation. You can switch between styles at any time under Preferences in the app.
As a new user of an Easee charger, welcome! We hope that getting started goes as smoothly as possible.
After installation by an electrician, the Easee charger should be ready for use. In many cases it is possible to start charging simply by connecting the cable to the car and the charger β no further configuration needed.
If charging does not start or you want to manage the charger yourself via the Easee app, follow the guide below to gain access and ownership of the charger.
It is important to understand the difference between a home charger and a charger in a larger charging facility (typically housing cooperatives or condominiums).
Home charger
If you have recently had an Easee charger installed at home, the electrician will usually transfer ownership to you after the installation as the final step in the process.
If ownership has not been transferred, we recommend contacting the electrician who carried out the installation so they can complete the transfer.
Takeover / new owner
If you are a new owner of the charger, there are several ways to gain access. The most common method is for the previous owner to transfer ownership.
We recommend following this guide to get access: π New user β Access in the app
Larger charging facilities
If you are a new user or owner in a larger charging facility (e.g. housing cooperative or condominium), the process may be different. These facilities are often managed by a third party who handles billing, access, and administration of the chargers. In such cases it is not always necessary or possible to use the Easee app directly.
We therefore recommend:
- Contacting the administrator or board responsible for the charging facility to get access.
- Checking whether a third-party operator app is in use at your facility.

Getting started in the app
Once you have access to the charger, open the Easee app. New users from 16 June 2026 will see the Effortless style by default. You'll land on the Home screen, where you can find your sites and devices, preferences, and profile.
From the Home screen, tap your site to open the Site Landing Page, then tap the charger circle to open the product card and start managing your charger.
See Easee App Overview for a full walkthrough of the new interface.
