Find the PIN code for your Easee charger
Learn what the PIN code is, when you need it and where to find it.
Every Easee charger has its own PIN code. You may need it during installation, when configuring a charger or when taking over a private installation. The PIN is not the same as charger or site access. Knowing it does not automatically give you access to a charger or site.
Do you need the PIN code or access?
If you want to add a charger to your account, take over a private installation or use a charger at a shared site, the correct process depends on who owns and manages the installation. Use the access guide when your goal is to gain access rather than retrieve an existing PIN.
Find the correct access path01Find the PIN code in the Easee App
If the charger already appears in your account and you are its registered owner, you can view the PIN in the general charger settings. The screenshots use the English Easee App labels.
Only the registered owner can view the PIN
If the PIN field is unavailable, check whether your account has the Owner role for this charger.
Compare access, roles and permissions02Check the installation documents or ask the installer
If the PIN is not available in the App, check the installation documents or contact the installer before removing anything from the charger.
Check the original installation documents
For an older installation, check the original handover documents. The installer may have recorded the PIN there or attached the PIN sticker to the documents.
Check the fuse box
The PIN sticker may be attached inside the fuse-box door or stored with other documents for the electrical installation.
Ask the installer
For a recently installed charger, check the handover documents or contact the installer directly. The installer may still be registered for the site and may be able to retrieve the PIN in the Easee Installer App.
03Check the physical PIN sticker
If the App, handover documents and installer do not provide the PIN, check the sticker on the charger.
Check the front of the Chargeberry
The PIN and serial number are printed on a sticker behind the removable outer front cover.
Remove only the outer front cover
Do not open or touch electrical components. If you are unsure how to reach the sticker safely, stop and ask the installer.
The serial number is normally printed with the PIN and is also needed if you later request ownership verification.
Find the charger's serial number04If the PIN code is still missing
If none of the retrieval methods worked, the next step depends on whether the charger is your private installation, a second-hand purchase or part of a shared site.
Choose the situation that applies to you
Ownership verification applies only to private chargers. It must not be used to request access to a shared or operator-managed site.
Private charger: you own the installationEasee may help after ownership has been verified.
If you have checked the App, handover documents, installer and physical sticker, prepare the following information:
- Charger serial number
- Installation address and the email address used for your Easee account
- Proof of ownership, such as the original invoice, purchase agreement or confirmation from the previous owner
Request ownership verification
Easee can disclose a missing PIN only after ownership has been verified. A request may be declined if the evidence is incomplete.
Send the ownership verification requestSecond-hand charger: before or after purchaseThe PIN alone does not transfer ownership or provide access.
Before buying: Ask the seller for the PIN and serial number. Confirm how ownership or access will be transferred before completing the purchase.
Already purchased: Contact the previous owner first. If that is no longer possible, complete the retrieval checks above and prepare the serial number and proof of purchase.
Request verification only when the previous owner cannot help
Easee can disclose the PIN only if your ownership can be verified.

Do not continue looking for the PIN to gain access. Knowing the PIN does not grant access to a shared charger or site.
