Error light strip displays
There are three main causes for the charger to give a solid red light:
- Ground fault in the cable or car.
- The car reacts negatively to something in the power grid. (The power grid issue could be in the house, or in the neighborhood)
- The charger has detected other abnormalities.
A solid red light with a warning sound indicates that the installer has connected the wires incorrectly. Contact your installer to get it installed in accordance with the installation guide provided and try again.
To reset the charger, the charging cable must be disconnected from the charger. If the red light stays on, contact support.
Two other error indicators you should be aware of:
The secondary charger has lost connection with the master charger. This is usually due to a large distance between them, or to obstacles interfering with the signal.
The charger is waiting to be configured.
If you have tried to configure the charger many times but the light strip continues to flash yellow there might be an issue with the RFID chip on the backplate. Contact support.
If you cannot see the LED strip
There are a few reasons why there would be no light in your LED strip. These would include:
- Charger has no power.
- Charger has been decommissioned.
- The charger is performing a self-test.
At certain points of the self-test the LED strip will turn off. - The LED brightness has been set too low. Make sure the LED brightness is set high enough to see.
