Get access to your Easee charger
Find out who can give you access and what to do if your charger is missing from the Easee App.
Your Easee account does not automatically give you access to a charger or site. Choose your situation below to get the access you need. A site is the location where one or more chargers are installed.
01Choose your situation
Follow the matching route. If you had access before and have lost it, go straight to the last option.
02Your charger was recently installed
For your own home installation, the installer completes the setup and sends you the handover invitation. If an organisation will manage the installation, use the next route instead.
Check the account receiving the handover
Give your installer the email address associated with your Easee account. Check that inbox, including the spam folder, for the invitation.
Accept the invitation in the Easee App
Open the invitation on the phone or tablet where the Easee App is installed. Sign in to the account receiving the invitation and accept it in the app. Do not try to complete acceptance in a desktop browser.
If you receive separate invitations for the site and charger, accept both.
Help with accepting the handoverApp access is ready
Open the Easee App and check that you can find and open your site and charger. You can now use the controls available to your account.
Find your way around the Easee AppInvitation missing or installation still not showing?
If the handover has not been completed, ask your installer to check the recipient details and finish it.
If the handover is complete, your installer may no longer have access. If you have accepted the invitations in the correct account and your installation is still missing, contact Easee Technical Support. They can investigate and, where appropriate, add you or send an invitation. Also contact Support if the installer is unavailable and the handover cannot be completed.
Include your account email address and the charger serial number. Support may need to verify that you own or are authorised to manage the installation.
Contact Easee Technical Support03Someone else manages the charger or site
The person or organisation responsible for this installation can tell you how to get the access you need.
Find out who manages access
Ask the person responsible for the charger or site. This may be someone in your household, your landlord, a property manager, your workplace or the charging operator.
Ask for the access you need
Tell them whether you need to charge, see the charger in the Easee App, or change settings and manage other users. These are different permissions. You do not need to take ownership just to charge.
Follow the method they give you
If they ask for your Easee account, give them the email address associated with it. If they send an invitation, open it on the phone or tablet with the Easee App installed and accept it in that account. If they give you an Easee Key, RFID tag or operator app, follow their instructions.
Access is ready
Your assigned method lets you charge, or you can open the charger or site in the app as agreed. If you also need to manage settings or other users, ask the person responsible for that permission.
See what you can do in the Easee AppWhy can I charge without seeing the charger in my app?
Charging permission does not always include app access. Ask the person managing the site whether the charger should appear in your app and when. The access-control guide explains who can charge, how charging is authorised and who can manage access.
Understand how charger access worksAccess still not working?
Ask the person or organisation responsible to check which account, site or charger was approved and which charging method you should use. If a charging operator controls access, follow its process. Easee Support cannot replace the site's approval.
Get help with access at a shared installationIf the responsible person confirms that your home charger access is correct but it still fails through Easee, contact Easee Technical Support.
Contact Easee Technical SupportI can open the charger, but charging does not start
If the app says authorisation is required, ask the person managing access to check your charging permission. For other charging statuses or a session that stops, follow the charging guide.
Check what is preventing charging04You are taking over an existing home installation
If the home installation now belongs to you, ask the previous owner to arrange the transfer. Moving into the property does not automatically transfer the site in Easee.
Ask the current Site Owner to transfer ownership
Share your Easee account contact details. The person registered as Site Owner can start the transfer in the Easee App or Easee Control. Administrator access alone does not allow an ownership transfer.
Transfer instructions for the current ownerAccept the transfer in your account
Open the transfer invitation on the phone or tablet with the Easee App installed. Sign in to the account receiving the transfer and accept it in the app.
Ownership is transferred
Check that your account is shown as Site Owner for the transferred site. Seeing the charger alone does not confirm ownership.
Find your site settingsCannot complete the transfer?
If the previous owner cannot arrange it, or you do not know who is registered as Site Owner, contact Easee Support. Support may ask for proof that you own or are authorised to take over the installation.
Get help with the transferIf the transfer process asks for a PIN, use the PIN guide. Knowing the PIN is not a substitute for an authorised ownership transfer.
Find or recover the charger PIN05You had access before, but no longer do
Check your account first. Then ask the person who manages access to confirm that your permission is still in place.
Check that you are using the same account
Use the Easee account that previously had access. Creating another account does not restore permissions from the original account.
Get the missing access checked
If someone else manages the charger, ask them to check your access and the account it was granted to. At work or in shared parking, contact the site manager or charging operator.
If it is your own home installation and the handover was already completed correctly, contact Easee Support. The installer may no longer have access to restore it.
Access is restored
When the site or charger is available to you again, or your assigned charging method works, you can continue using it.
Return to your charging controlsNeed help restoring access to your own installation?
Send Easee Support your account email address, the charger serial number and a short description of what is missing or being refused. Include any error message. Support can check the account access and advise what is needed to restore it.
Contact Easee SupportThe charger is visible, but charging does not start
If the app says authorisation is required, check the charging permission and method with the person managing access. For other charging statuses or an offline charger, use the charging guide to follow the matching checks.
