Choose the right path for a private or shared installation.

Before you start

Prepare your account first, then choose the path that matches the installation.

This guide uses the Effortless app style. It is the default for new users from 16 June 2026. If your app looks different, see the Classic style guide.

An Easee account is required

Use the account that should receive access or ownership of the site.

  • Create or sign in to your Easee account
  • Use an email address you can access
  • Only use the PIN if a transfer is not possible

Choose your access path

Open the situation that matches your charger. The other instructions can stay closed.

The charger was recently installed The installer needs to complete the handover.

Look for the invitation

Check the inbox and spam folder of the email address provided to the installer.

Accept the handover

Accept the invitation with the Easee account that should become the site owner.

Contact the installer if it is missing

Ask the installer to complete the final handover.

You moved into a home with an Easee charger Start with a transfer from the previous owner. Recommended path

Ask the previous owner to transfer the site. They can transfer ownership in the Easee App or Easee Control. Accept the invitation with the Easee account you want to use.

How to transfer ownership

If a transfer is not possible

You can claim ownership using the charger PIN. Only continue if you are authorised to take ownership of the private installation.

Find the PIN

Check the PIN card or installation documentation, or contact the installer. Do not remove electrical covers yourself.

Open Add product

From the Home screen, select Add product in the bottom toolbar.

Enter the PIN

Follow the on-screen instructions and enter the charger PIN when prompted.

How to find the charger PIN

The charger is part of a shared installation Housing association, condominium or shared garage.

Do not use the private ownership process

Access and permissions at a shared site are normally managed centrally.

Contact the responsible organisation

Contact the site owner, administrator, board, housing association or charging operator.

Ask how access is provided

You may receive an Easee invitation or be asked to use a separate operator app.

Available functions depend on how the shared site is configured and managed.

Open the site and charger, then continue with the setup that matches your needs.

FAQ

Common questions about access and ownership.

I have not received an invitation. What should I do?
Check your spam folder and confirm which email address was used. For a new private installation, contact the installer. At a shared installation, contact the organisation that manages the site.
What is the difference between access and ownership?
Access allows an Easee account to use or view products according to its permissions. The site owner manages the site, its products and who else can access them.
Can I claim a charger at a shared installation with its PIN?
Do not use the private ownership process for a charger that belongs to a shared site. Contact the site owner, administrator, board or operator for the correct access method.
Where can I find the charger PIN?
Check the PIN card and installation documentation or contact the installer. If Easee Support must retrieve the PIN, proof of ownership is required.
